Blue Pier™, Canada’s innovative pension plan provider, is delighted to announce the addition of Jeffrey White to its Board of Directors.
A distinguished figure in the Canadian capital markets with over two decades of experience, Jeffrey White brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to the Blue Pier team. A lawyer by training, Jeffrey has spent over 20 years in the Canadian capital markets, initially in corporate finance/M&A, and then in senior executive and institutional equity roles. He is the Founder and CEO of Hinge Markets Inc., an advisory firm providing critical insights into capital markets, capital structure and organizational strategy, and facilitating business development opportunities to position companies for growth and success.
Jeffrey’s career includes roles as Managing Director and Co-Head of Institutional Sales at Laurentian Bank Securities, President and CEO of Stonecap Securities, and Head of Institutional Equity Sales at Blackmont Capital. An MBA graduate from the Ivey Business School, Jeffrey also holds an LL.B. from the University of British Columbia. His extensive experience in senior institutional equity roles, and breadth of knowledge in corporate finance, M&A, and compliance make him a valuable asset to Blue Pier as it seeks to bring its innovative “Pension Plan as a Service” solution to all Canadian companies.
“I am very excited to join the Blue Pier team, a pioneer in the pension plan industry in Canada. Pension plans are a key differentiator for employers seeking to recruit and retain talented people and reduce the costs associated with employee turnover. Yet the complexities, costs, onerous administration burdens and compliance risks make pensions prohibitive for all but the largest Canadian companies. Blue Pier’s innovative platform provides Canadian employers with a truly unique opportunity to offer a real workplace pension plan without the work, costs and risks of traditional pension administration. I look forward to leveraging my capital markets, strategy and corporate governance experience as Blue Pier continues to execute its commercialization plans.”
“We are thrilled to welcome Jeffrey to our Board,” said James Pierlot, Founder & CEO of Blue Pier. “His integrity, strategic acumen and deep understanding of the capital markets will play a pivotal role in guiding us through our next stage of growth. With Jeffrey joining Blue Pier, we are better equipped than ever to realize our vision to provide all Canadian workers with an opportunity to enjoy income security and a high quality of life in retirement.”
